Acquise par la lignée de médecins Cornudet, elle fût restaurée et embellie
au XIXème siècle. Les bâtiments périphériques qui furent utiles à l’instruction
des enfants à partir des années 50 ont alourdi et dénaturé cet élégant manoir
de la Renaissance dont les sculptures en tuffeau se délitent au fil des hivers pluvieux ou gélifs.

The large house was originally lived in by Odet de Châtillon-Coligny, brother of the Baron of La Roche- Bernard, who lived in the Château of Bretesche in the centre of the forest of La Roche-Bernard in the parish of Missillac.   Acquired by the family Cornudet,it was restored and embellished in the 19th century.

The surrounding buildings were constructed as a College in the 1950s, to the detriment of the elegant Renaissance Manoir.
