Après le petit pont écluse de la voûte, montent des chemins vers Férel en longeant l’une des plus anciennes bâtisses avec des meurtrières dans sa curieuse tour carrée.

L’ancien café Denoual, assez peu transformé depuis ses origines du 14^ème ou 15^ème siècle est une perle du patrimoine portuaire.

Eighteenth century warehouses in granite or limestone lined the present-day car park.  This was originally a marshy field and once nearly considered the site for a municipal abattoir, prompted by the large cattle market in La Roche-Bernard.

On the opposite bank, one of the older buildings in La Roche-Bernard has a curious square tower with gun-slits.  Next to the old tower, the former Café Denoual, little changed since its origins in the 14th or 15th century, is a pearl of Port heritage.
